Munich: police catch bike thieves – Munich

A 30-year-old from Munich helped the police catch a suspected gang of thieves on Wednesday. The man had his bike stolen in Neuhausen. Using a GPS tracker, he found it again on Klarastrasse. There he noticed two men with large garbage bags. When he followed them, they fled in a pickup truck. They left the sacks with bicycle parts in them.

Shortly before 11 p.m., the 30-year-old called the police, who launched a search and were able to stop the vehicle in Mühldorf am Inn. It included seven men between the ages of 21 and 47 without permanent residence in Germany. In addition, the officials found the Munich bike, another high-quality mountain bike and more than 4,000 euros in cash. The suspects have been arrested.
