Munich: Poetry reading “My three lyrical I’s” – Munich

Listening to three up-and-coming German-speaking poets from all over the world and looking at art at the same time – roughly speaking, that is the concept of the series “My three lyrical Is”, which celebrated its brilliant tenth birthday last year.

If the number of poet guests was increased a little in 2022, this year the tried and tested trio will remain: Rasha Habbal will be heard from Trier. In her volume “The Last Woman”, the native Syrian addresses the Syrian civil war and her life in exile. The Ukrainian Sasha Lavrenchuk, who lives in Munich, is currently confronted with the sad reality of a war in her home country. In a normal life, she says, she can only immerse herself in VR reality. The Viennese Jakob Kraner calls his debut “Cosmology” a “boldly formal evolutionary history of geometric shapes” – he will also read from his work on Thursday evening.

Timur Lukas takes care of the eyes. The Munich artist fills the space with paintings, photographs and postcards that deal with the foreign and the universality of memory spaces.

“My three lyrical I’s”, Thursday, July 20, 8 p.m., Kunstverein Munich, Galeriestraße 4, www.meinedreilyrienichs.wordpress.com
