Almost 5,000 police officers are on duty to ensure the security of the leading politicians who are gathering at the Bayerischer Hof in Munich over the weekend. They stand on the roofs of the hotel and x-ray all arriving cars.

To be on the safe side, the police check the underbody of vehicles with a bomb mirror.
