In the very first year of “Münchner Wohnen”, municipal housing construction collapsed significantly: the company, which emerged from the merger of the municipal companies GWG and Gewofag, expects to complete 799 apartments in 2024. Münchner Wohnen (MW) told SZ this in response to a request on the occasion of its 100-day anniversary this Tuesday. The target set by the city council is currently 1,250 new apartments per year, but the green-red coalition decided at the end of 2022 to increase this number to 2,000.
