Mysterious weapon finds in Ramersdorf and Perlach are puzzling the police: It all started around 8 a.m. on Sunday when a woman called the police emergency number and said she had found a gun case with a rifle on her doorstep. While a patrol was on its way to the woman, a man reported directly to the Perlach police station: He had found two handguns in front of his apartment door.

New reports of weapons being found were constantly being received. In the end there were – initially – ten weapons in seven locations. The weapons are airsoft or PTB weapons. These are weapons that can fire irritants, blank cartridges or pyrotechnic charges, but not projectiles. Their purchase is free and permitted for adults in Germany. If they are to be used publicly, a small firearms license is required.

Because of the temporal and local context of the finds, the police assume that they were deposited by one person, which is why they are now looking for witnesses in the area of ​​Heinrich-Wieland-Straße, Ständlerstraße, Karl-Marx-Ring, Kurt-Eisner-Straße have made observations.
