A young man aimed a stun gun at several people, triggering a large-scale operation by the Munich police. What a police spokesman said was probably just the stupidity of a drunk 21-year-old could have ended fatally for himself.
The young man from Munich handled the alarm gun in the Max-Weber-Platz underground station on Sunday night and kept pointing it at other night owls. Around 1:10 a.m., the police received several emergency calls, and more than 15 patrols were deployed immediately. The emergency services quickly found the 21-year-old on the platform. They threatened to shoot the man if he resisted. The man from Munich then threw away his alarm gun and was arrested.
It’s unclear why he was walking around with the gun. When he was arrested, he had around 1.5 per thousand alcohol in his blood. He had not shot – according to the police, the gun was not loaded, it was secured. Now the 21-year-old has to answer for violating the weapons law and for being threatened. An 18-year-old was also arrested in the subway station, but according to the police, “no involvement in the crime could be proven.”
