A 35-year-old man fired several shots with an air gun from the window of his apartment in Großhadern on Sunday night. A witness who may have been hit by a ricochet was slightly injured and called police shortly after midnight. According to a spokesman, they arrived with a large contingent. Special forces were finally able to arrest the man. He is now being examined in a psychiatric clinic.
The witness apparently had knowledge of weapons and had given specific information about an air gun. The emergency services secured the area around the apartment building and first searched for the apartment from which the shooting took place.
According to the spokesman, at around 1.30 a.m. the man’s mother, with whom he lives, opened the door for reasons unknown. The emergency services took the opportunity and arrested the man. They found two air guns in the apartment. The shooter was reported on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and a possible violation of the weapons law.
