The musician has a problem: he loves Richard Wagner’s music, but at the same time loathes the composer. He made a furious song out of his dilemma.
Currently touring Chilly Gonzales through German concert halls and brings to the stage what he has rightly been celebrated for for a long time: furious piano playing, a big pop show including legendary stage diving. In one of his central pieces he literally hits the drums: “Fuck Wagner” is a crossover of classical quotes, rap and political activism. And he has a specific concern: The Jewish Canadian is calling for the renaming of Richard-Wagner-Strasse in his adopted home of Cologne.
