After an argument on New Year’s morning, a 26-year-old man kicked and hit a 32-year-old on platform one at Ostbahnhof – and then pushed him into the tracks. The driver of the incoming S8 had to initiate emergency braking. According to the Federal Police report, the incident ended lightly: the train came to a stop about 100 meters in front of the 32-year-old.
The man was able to climb out of the track area on his own – and then gave the 26-year-old another blow. His 19-year-old companion, who had already gotten into an argument with the victim in the factory district, separated the two. The 32-year-old man escaped with a bloody lip. According to federal police, all three men were drunk. Now an investigation is underway for mutual bodily harm.
