In an accident in Lerchenau in the north of Munich on Monday evening around 8 p.m., a man was run over by a bus on line 60. For initially unclear reasons, the man got between the bus and its trailer on Lasallestrasse while changing passengers at the Max-Wönner-Strasse stop, as the police announced on Tuesday morning. As the bus drove off, the man fell and was then run over. He suffered fatal injuries.
According to police, the bus driver initially continued driving after the accident. A witness chased him in the car and was finally able to stop him. According to police, it remains to be determined whether the bus driver was aware of the accident.
