The doors of Munich’s Westbad will remain closed from May 13th until mid-September. As the Munich public utilities announced on Tuesday, the indoor swimming pool and sauna area will not be usable again until September 17th.
Until then, there is some work to be done: the roof of the indoor swimming pool will be renovated and sealed, the glass of the light dome will be replaced and new lightning protection will be installed.
Despite the renovations, the outdoor swimming pool area does not have to be forgone; it will not be converted. To compensate for the closed indoor pool, visitors can use the outdoor pool from May to July until 9 p.m.
