Hundreds of thousands of visitors are expected in Munich in September: The International Motor Show is to be better, bigger and more spectacular. At the premiere two years ago there were protests, blockades and police operations.
Two years ago, around 400,000 visitors from 95 countries and 744 exhibitors from all over the world came to the first International Motor Show (IAA) in Munich. “I am sure that we will exceed these numbers this year,” said Stefan Rummel, one of the two managing directors of Messe München, at a virtual press conference on Thursday. The organizers wanted to get in the mood for the event, and on this occasion Hildegard Müller, President of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), was also very optimistic: “The event will be more successful than in 2021. The exhibition areas are almost complete fully booked and the last vacancies will be allocated in July.”
