It’s this “what if” that makes the matter so tricky: What could have happened when an S-Bahn shot over an unsecured level crossing on Feldmochinger Straße at 140 kilometers per hour? Or another time a train with 73 items crossed that open level crossing in the middle of Munich? It was pure luck that no people were injured in either case.
