Coworking is supposed to be the future of work. The supply of office space, which is called “Flexible Office Space” in advertising, is growing correspondingly quickly. What started in a niche around ten years ago soon caught on with people who only need their laptop to work. In the years before the corona pandemic, workplaces that promised collaboration and communication experienced a real boom – to the point of hype. Then the pandemic came and shook the new world of work: after all, “Co” means “together with others” – difficult when a deadly virus is circulating.
