The current market report from the Real Estate Association of Germany Region South (IVD) has bad news for everyone: for potential sellers and buyers of apartments and houses in Bavaria and especially in Munich – and subsequently also for tenants. For the sellers, because their properties have been steadily losing value since 2022, for the buyers, because they are not benefiting from this in view of rising mortgage interest rates, and for the tenants, because prospective buyers who are prevented from buying are also pushing into the rental market.
