In a communal accommodation for asylum seekers in Forstenried, a 24-year-old is said to have attacked and injured a 27-year-old on Thursday. An employee of the shelter called the police in the early afternoon. The officers determined that the older man had been injured in the head and neck with a screwdriver and a knife while he was sleeping.
According to the police, the reason for the attack was a long-standing argument between the two roommates. The injured man was taken to a hospital but was released the same day. The attacker was arrested and brought before the investigating judge on Friday to clarify the question of detention.
