Lina pulls on the green stuff, pulls and pulls, but the plant just doesn’t want to get out of the ground. The kindergarten child is standing on a hill, overgrown with grass and wildflowers, she won’t let herself be deterred. “I can see from the leaves that it’s a carrot,” explains Lina – and pulls harder. She kneels, then finally: the wild carrot is outside, a dry, colorless root. Ouais and Luna also carry carrots in their arms, stuff them into a wooden cable drum and look happy.
