Munich: fire brigade saves woman from burning apartment – Munich

The fire brigade rescued a woman from her burning apartment in Arabellapark early Thursday evening. A sofa caught fire in the block of flats on Englschalkinger Strasse. Police saw flames shooting out of the windows. They called the fire brigade, who sent a squad up the stairwell, and another was supposed to get into the apartment via the turntable ladder.

There, the emergency services discovered the resident lying motionless on the floor. They rescued the woman outside, where emergency services attended to her. Meanwhile, firefighters put out the fire. The seriously injured resident was taken to a hospital. The fire brigade put the damage to property at a higher five-digit amount.
