An automatic fire alarm system led the fire brigade to water damage over an area of over 1,000 square meters. Water had leaked from the sprinkler system of a building complex on Riedenburger Strasse on Tuesday night, according to the fire brigade. The alarm had been triggered because the fire alarm and sprinkler systems were linked.
The cause of the water leak was initially unknown. The police could not yet quantify the damage to property either, a press spokeswoman said.
