Munich: Ferrari driver on the run rams a police car – Munich

While fleeing the police, a man with his sports car rammed a civilian patrol in Munich, slightly injuring two officers. The 26-year-old is now in custody, a police spokesman said. Police officers wanted to check him on Thursday evening in the Ingolstädter Strasse and Frankfurter Ring areas. The 26-year-old man, a scrap dealer by profession, was already known to the police for violent and drug-related offenses and for driving without a license.

To escape from the officers, the man drove his red Ferrari F8 Tributo at high speed on a sidewalk, among other things – a nine-year-old girl saved herself by jumping to the side. The driver later rammed his car into a civilian patrol car that was blocking his way and continued to flee. Only after he had parked his car in a parking lot and tried to flee on foot were the police able to stop and arrest the man.

He is now being investigated for, among other things, endangering road traffic, prohibited motor vehicle racing, driving without a license and getting away from an accident.
