Munich: Driver forces tram to emergency brake – Munich

A woman was injured on Monday evening in Giesing when a driver forced an emergency stop on a tram on route 25. The police are now looking for the driver of a dark SUV who was driving towards the city center on Tegernseer Landstrasse around 7 p.m.

At the intersection of Tegernseer Landstrasse and Martin-Luther-Strasse, the driver crossed the intersection area, according to the police, whereupon the tram driver had to perform emergency braking to avoid a collision. According to initial investigations, the tram’s signal showed “release travel”, which means right of way.

A 63-year-old, who was a passenger on the tram, fell during the emergency stop. She was treated as an outpatient by paramedics. The previously unknown driver drove on. The police are asking for information to the accident squad on 089/6216-3322.
