Munich: Dogs are said to have been massively mistreated in a dog boarding kennel – Munich

The animal rights organization Peta has made serious allegations against a dog boarding facility in Munich. There, several dogs were repeatedly severely mistreated by one person. On Friday, the animal protection organization called on the Munich Veterinary Office to close the affected dog boarding facility with immediate effect and to impose a ban on keeping and caring for animals against those responsible. Peta has also filed a criminal complaint for animal cruelty.

Videos from a surveillance camera that were leaked to Peta last Wednesday allegedly show several acts on site. They can be seen on the animal rights activists’ homepage and Instagram channel. There you can see a man repeatedly kicking individual dogs in various situations or picking them up and throwing them across the room. In one video he pulls a dog by the ears and later sits on the animal. A video is said to show another person in the room who does not intervene. A specialist from Peta warned on Friday not only of physical but also of psychological damage to the animals.

The owner of the affected dog kennel apologized on the homepage on Sunday “sincerely apologized for the suffering caused to the dogs entrusted to me”. She was “deeply shocked and shocked” by the reports. She condemns the actions shown as “unacceptable and cruel”. She also announced that she would file a complaint and at the same time admitted that it was her duty to “combine trust with verification.” Finally, she asks for the opportunity to clarify matters. The dog boarding facility will remain closed next week.
