The infection situation in the Munich district is weakening and is almost three weeks after the end of the Oktoberfest at the same level as in the state capital. The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reported a seven-day incidence of 424.8 for the district on Friday morning; in the city of Munich, the value for the same period was 424.3. As a result, the number of infections continues to decline. Within a week, 1,486 people in the district were proven to be infected with the corona virus – but only positive PCR tests are included in the statistics anyway. In total, well over 150,000 people in the Munich district have been infected with the virus since the pandemic began.
