Max Wagner, Managing Director of Gasteig München GmbH, is asking for his contract with the city of Munich to be terminated by autumn of this year. “My time in the Gasteig was a great gift for me personally. I look back on it with joy and gratitude,” says the culture manager. “It was seven exciting but also very challenging years.” The alternative location Gasteig HP8 has developed into a new cultural attraction. The plans for a renovated Gasteig “that will last for the future” are available. “This is a good time to put responsibility in new hands who can drive it forward with fresh energy,” says Wagner in his brief justification.
