For 22 years, Siegfried Böhmke has been managing the fortunes of the classicist-looking column-gable temple of the Muses on Blumenstrasse as director. Since its construction in 1900, this has been considered the first permanent theater building for puppet theaters in Europe. In 2022, the Munich Marionette Theater and its team were awarded the title of “Intangible Cultural Heritage of Bavaria” – a great honor for the puppeteer, who once learned his craft from “Muppets” inventor Jim Henson.
