Munich: Bellevue di Monaco at the Architecture Biennale in Venice – Munich

Franz Josef Strauss was certainly not overly modest when it came to his own importance. But the fact that his likeness would one day hang in the German pavilion at the Venice Biennale would certainly have surprised even him. But it is. To the right of the main entrance, in the next room, it hangs, unmistakably the grand chairman of the CSU in Mao’s garb, framed by the words in capital letters: “With us, everyone becomes a comrade!”
