On Wednesday evening, on his way home from a kebab meal, a 13-year-old boy in the Milbertshofen district of Munich was attacked by a group of young people and brutally beaten. The attackers wanted money – and fled when a friend came to the victim’s aid. Three of the attackers, all around 14 years old, are now known to the police, and five others are still being sought.
The robbery happened around 7:15 p.m. on Knorrstrasse. There the 13-year-old and his friend, who was one year older, met the group of eight. According to the police, a 14-year-old and another previously unknown perpetrator demanded money from the 13-year-old and searched their victim’s pockets. When the boy tried to push the two away, he was hit. When the 13-year-old was on the ground, the remaining six young offenders also began to punch and kick him. They only let go of their victim when his friend intervened. The 13-year-old suffered minor injuries in the incident.
