New Superheroine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Disney+ has the first trailer about the upcoming series “Ms. Marvel” and announced the start date at the same time. The story about high school student Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani, 19) will be available exclusively from the streaming provider from June 8th.
The Original Series from Marvel Studios is about Kamala, a Muslim-American teenager growing up in Jersey City who is an avid gamer, fan fiction writer and a huge superhero fan – especially Captain Marvel. However, in her everyday school life, Kamala feels invisible until she wields the superpowers of her favorite heroes. Now it’s up to her to balance school, family and her new skills.
Acting debut for Iman Vellani
With her leading role, Iman Vellani makes her acting debut. Alongside her, the series stars Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha.
