February has exciting new starts in store for subscribers of major streaming services. The series tips at a glance.

All fans of elegant fashion can look forward to the high-quality fashion series “The New Look” next month, in which the story of star designer Christian Dior (1905-1957) is the focus. Meanwhile, a remake of a classic action comedy is starting on Amazon Prime Video – and zombie fans are finally finding out more about the fate of “Walking Dead” main character Rick Grimes.

“Mr. & Mrs. Smith”: From February 2nd on Amazon Prime Video

“Mr. & Mrs. Smith”, the unforgettable film classic with Brad Pitt (60) and Angelina Jolie (48), is receiving a contemporary update in series form on Amazon Prime Video. Donald Glover (“Atlanta”, 40) and Maya Erskine (“Obi-Wan Kenobi”, 36) play the main roles of John and Jane Smith. In contrast to the Pitt-Jolie blockbuster from 2005, the two characters in the Amazon series know about their work as secret agents from the start because they are hired together.

For a spy agency, Jane and John have to act as a married couple and complete one extremely dangerous mission after the next. The trailer for the series promises the mixture of captivating action sequences and entertaining verbal exchanges already known from the earlier film.

The lavishly produced historical series “The New Look” starts on the streaming service Apple TV+ on Valentine’s Day.
