Otto Waalkes, Michael Bully Herbig and many more are saying goodbye to comedy star Mirco Nontschew on social media.
The surprising death of Mirco Nontschew (1969-2021) continues to shake the German comedy landscape. Numerous friends, colleagues and companions of the “RTL Saturday Night” star express their sadness and bewilderment on social media. Michael Bully Herbig (53), with whom Nontschew last shot “LOL: Last One Laughing” for the third season, reminded on Instagram to the comedy star.
Michael Bully Herbig: “You made people happy”
“You made people happy. We shed so many tears of laughter because of you!” Said Herbig. “Today’s tears, on the other hand, are bitter and painful! The show must go on … for you Mirco!”, He writes about a photo of Nontschew.
Comedienne Ilka Bessin (50), also known as Cindy from Marzahn, is “just sad”, like her in one Instagram story writes. Guido Cantz (50) describes the death of Nontschew as a “tragedy”. “The comedian with the ‘funniest bones’ ever left us … German comedy is losing its most talented but most self-critical comedian. Take care, Mirco,” commented Cantz on a picture of the deceased on Instagram.

Comedy legend Otto Waalkes (73), with whom Nontschew was seen in the “7 dwarfs” films, among others, leaves behind on twitter a sad “Oh Mirco”. To do this, he reposts a joint photo in which the two comedians with the “7 dwarfs” pointed hats look into the camera.
Jan Josef Liefers (57) describes the news of Nontschew’s death as “devastating”. “As with many of the funniest people, I have always seen that little bit of melancholy in you, something that brought you very close to me”, so Liefers on Instagram. “And you were there when Anna and I shook hands for the first time on June 27, 1999. So sad that you had to leave.”
