Motorways near Unterhaching: speed limit is lifted – district of Munich

Drivers on the Giesinger Autobahn may have wondered what happened to the 120 km/h signs in the past few weeks. They’re actually gone, at least on the trail south of town. The same applies to the hundreds sign on the A8 motorway near Neubiberg. At the beginning of the year, the Autobahn GmbH of the federal government canceled both speed limits. This is confirmed by both the Munich District Office and the two Greens, Markus Büchler and Claudia Köhler, who were also surprised by the lack of signage and followed it up. According to the district office, the lifting of the speed limit was preceded by a “review of the legal requirements”.
