After the killing of a disabled woman in Augsburg, the 87-year-old mother was released from custody. The suspicion of manslaughter has not been substantiated, the public prosecutor said on Wednesday. The aged mother is said to have killed her 57-year-old daughter, who was disabled since birth and in need of care, and attempted suicide almost two weeks ago. Investigators now assume that the daughter asked her mother to take her life. According to the public prosecutor’s office, the 87-year-old is now being investigated for the allegation of killing on demand. In this respect, however, there is no longer any reason for detention. The arrest warrant was therefore lifted by the Augsburg district court and the mother was released from prison on Wednesday.
