  • Three boats loaded with a total of more than 58,000 tons of corn left their respective ports on Friday morning. Two of the ships left from Chornomorsk, in the south of the country, and the third from Odessa, like the Razoni, which left this port on Monday with the first shipment of grain exported by Ukraine since the start of the Russian invasion on February 24. The three new loadouts are to Karasu, Turkey, Ringaskiddy, Ireland and Teesport, UK.
  • The European Union (EU) imposed, Thursday, August 4, sanctions against the former pro-Russian Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych for his alleged role in the security threat to Ukraine. He presided over Ukraine from February 2010 to February 2014, then was overthrown by a popular uprising against the turn taken by his government, which had moved closer to Moscow. EU says ex-president, who lives in Russia, still playing a role in undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine ».
  • The Southern Ukrainian Military Command described the situation on the ground as “tense” and claimed that Moscow had “started to gather forces to attack in the direction of Kryvyi Rih”. This steel town, where Volodymyr Zelensky grew up, is about 50 kilometers from the southern front line of the country.
