Montenegro – government overthrown – politics

In Montenegro, the government of Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapic lost a vote of no confidence on Friday. The opposition parties and a group of renegades from the governing coalition accused him of not taking vigorous enough action against the coronavirus pandemic, of not bringing investments into the country and of not having created enough jobs. President Milo Djukanovic now has one month to nominate a successor. Around 680,000 people live in the NATO country, slightly more than in Stuttgart. Montenegro wants to become a member of the European Union.
