Queen is represented by Edward at an important appointment

On the advice of her doctors, the Queen has to take it easy. Most recently, she had to cancel some appointments.
Because of her health-related break, Queen Elizabeth II had her son Prince Edward represent her at an important church appointment.
The youngest Queen son (57) spoke to the General Synod of the Church of England in London on Tuesday. His mother sent a “sincere and profound apology” that she could not be there, said the Earl of Wessex, as Edward is officially called.
The Queen also sent a written message to the clergy in which she was thoughtful: «None of us can stop the passage of time, and while we often look to all changes, much remains the same, such as the Spirit of Jesus Christ and his teachers, ”she wrote.
Actually, the 95-year-old monarch, as head of the church, had wanted to speak to the bishops and church leaders herself – but her appearance, like the one at the memorial service for the fallen on Remembrance Sunday, had been canceled at short notice due to back problems.
The Queen has been following her doctors’ instructions to rest at Windsor Castle since mid-October after spending a night in the hospital for examinations.
As things currently stand, the monarch is no longer planning any public appearances for the rest of the year. However, the queen still wants to hold virtual audiences. November and December are usually quieter months in the royal calendar anyway.
