King Charles is suffering from cancer. The morning after the announcement, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak gave a radio interview.

According to British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, cancer is king Charles III recognized early. The news shocked and saddened him like everyone else, Sunak told the BBC. “And all our thoughts are with him and his family. Luckily it was caught early.” Everyone now wishes the king that he receives the necessary treatment and makes a full recovery.

When asked what Charles’ diagnosis now means for the day-to-day work of the government, Sunak replied: “I am in regular contact with the king. And of course that will continue as normal.” The head of government did not give any details. Charles is British head of state.

The palace announced on Monday evening that the king was being treated for cancer. The disease was discovered when the 75-year-old was in hospital for prostate surgery. The royal family did not say what form of cancer he has. All that is known is that it is not prostate cancer.

On medical advice, the king is refraining from public appointments for the time being, according to a statement from Buckingham Palace. But he should continue to carry out state affairs. Charles has been British monarch for more than a year. His reign began with the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, in September 2022. In May 2023, Charles was crowned.
