Postbank customers can now also pay with Apple Pay. The Apple service allows you to pay at the checkout using contactless NFC wireless technology with an iPhone or the Apple Watch computer watch.

Postbank is one of the last banks in Germany to allow its customers to use the mobile payment system Use Apple Pay. With the latest version of the Postbank app on the iPhone, Mastercard credit cards and the Postbank Card plus can be integrated into Apple’s service, as the Deutsche Bank subsidiary announced. Deutsche Bank was already involved in the launch of Apple Pay in Germany at the end of 2018.

The Apple service allows you to pay at the checkout using contactless NFC wireless technology with an iPhone or the Apple Watch computer watch. Postbank has only been supporting the comparable payment service Google Pay, which can be used on smartphones with the Android operating system, since mid-June.

Postbank customers have had a lot of trouble in the past few months: The IT move to Deutsche Bank systems resulted in noticeable inconveniences such as accounts being temporarily inaccessible. After customer complaints, the financial regulator Bafin also got involved.
