Hersfeld-Rotenburg – Large-scale search for a toddler in Hesse: Little Georg G. (2) has been missing since the afternoon.

The two-year-old was walking with his father in the Oberellenbach district of Alheim around 4:45 p.m. The two wanted to watch the forest workers.

“In an unnoticed moment, the child suddenly disappeared,” says police leader André Müller to BILD. “We are now searching the forest with drones and around 30 officers. Unfortunately, the helicopter was unable to take off due to an approaching cold front.”

Anxious hours for the family who come from the town. The volunteer fire department supports with search teams.

The two streams Trombach and Holzgraben run in the immediate vicinity of the place where Georg disappeared and are also being searched. The open space “Am Hüttenhof” is right in between, just a few meters from the banks.

So-called mantrailing dogs, which are particularly trained to search for missing people, are also used.

Georg is about one meter tall. He wears a neon yellow jacket with blue stripes, dark green pants and blue rubber boots.
