Miss France 2024 breaks records and the Bigflo and Oli concert remains below a million

The election of Miss France 2024 left only crumbs for the competition, in terms of TV audiences, on Saturday evening. The competition, broadcast on TF1 live from Dijon, which ended with the coronation of Eve Gilles, Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais, was followed on average by 7.5 million people, with a peak of 9.1 million , rejoices the channel in a press release this Sunday morning.

The election broke its historic records for the targets of French women responsible for purchases aged under 50 and 15 to 24 year olds, with respective audience rates of 60% and 86%.

“Echappées belles” stronger than the Bigflo and Oli concert

Faced with this steamroller, France 3 resisted well with the rebroadcast of the TV film Murders on the Frioul Islands, which was watched by 3.27 million people (16.3% audience share). France 5 completes the podium with its new release from the magazine “Echappées belles” dedicated to New Zealand. 1 million escape enthusiasts attended.

Apart from this trio, all the other programs of the evening finished below a million viewers. Starting with France 2 which broadcast the last concert of Bigflo and Oli, captured on December 8 at the Paris La Défense Arena. The “funny counter-proposal”, as Oli described it to 20 minuteswas therefore not profitable for the second channel which was attempting a strategic move since only 889,000 people watched the musical show (4.5% audience share).

Last year, facing Miss France, France 2 programmed “Les Grosses Têtes” by Laurent Ruquier, which attracted 2.2 million viewers (10.8% audience share).
