Heil’s legislative plans to sponsor the learning of new skills by the state open up wonderful possibilities: a new start if you have internally retired from your profession for years. Or a knowledge update that saves you from being in the next round of layoffs because your skills are outdated. And it helps companies to find the employees they need: thanks to state subsidies, they can train them more easily themselves.
