Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher have raised over 30 million in donations for Ukraine with their campaign on the GoFundMe platform.

“We are overwhelmed!” Mila Kunis (38) and her husband Ashton Kutcher (44) have received over 34 million US dollars (around 30.6 million euros) from around 67,800 donations with their fundraising campaign for Ukraine on the “GoFundMe” platform. The actor couple announced that now in a video on Instagram. Kunis and Kutcher contributed three million euros themselves.

Although the problem is far from being solved with this sum, Kunis says that thanks to the joint efforts, many people can be helped. “Our work is not done,” Kutcher continues. The two actors would do anything to ensure that the donations have the maximum impact on those in need. “Funds have been and will continue to be delivered to Flexport.org and Airbnb.org for them to take action now,” they write alongside the video.

Flexport is currently delivering relief supplies to refugee camps in Poland, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Moldova. The online portal Airbnb provides free temporary accommodation for refugees from Ukraine. Also, the couple treats every dollar as if it was donated out of their own pocket. “Please don’t stop donating,” emphasizes Kunis in the video.

Mila Kunis was born in Ukraine

The actor couple had asked for support for Ukraine on March 4th. After 48 hours, half of the donations had already been collected. The two had too in a video about the action called. In it, the actress said, among other things: “I was born in Chernivtsi, Ukraine, in 1983 and came to America in 1991.” Although she has always felt like an American and is grateful to the country for everything, she is currently very proud to be Ukrainian. “The events taking place in Ukraine are devastating. There is no place in this world for this kind of unjust attack on humanity.”
