A man in Middle Franconia threw an ax at a police car after a marital dispute became violent and was arrested as a result. As the police confirmed on Sunday, the 41-year-old wife called the police after her 32-year-old husband is said to have choked her in Stein (district of Fürth) and tried to open the bathroom door with the ax, in which the 41- year-old and her 13-year-old daughter hid to hit. When the police then arrived, the drunk 32-year-old threw a hatchet at the police car, which was damaged. After a brief attempt to escape, the man was arrested. According to the police, he fought back and injured a police officer on the foot. The 32-year-old is now being investigated.
