A leitmotif of modern communication in identity-sensitive times is that, if possible, everyone included are. The CDU, recently as known for nuance as Rubiales is for consensus, reached new heights in terms of political communication this week – when the 80,000 residents of my beloved hometown of Castrop-Rauxel felt included. From now on, the Castrop Europahalle is emblazoned in black, red and gold bars on the party’s new logo. At least that’s what it looks like to those who have already seen the Castroper Europahalle, and clearly.
