Unfortunately there is nothing to see here in December 2023, but as always there is plenty of it. It’s not entirely clear to me why, after the long drive from Hamburg, I’m doing a lap around Castrop’s old town ring shortly before I reach my old parents’ house. But Christmas is basically so full of meaningless rituals that it doesn’t matter anymore.
