Michel Drucker, the “survivor”, gives reassuring news of his health

The Phoenix returns. Michel Drucker is better and he wants it to be known. In an interview at Parisian published this Sunday, the most famous animator of the PAF gives his news, after his delicate second open-heart operation. “For the moment I am cured”, he declares, even ironically on the nicknames that the staff of the Georges-Pompidou hospital gave him: “the extraterrestrial, Terminator or the Survivor”.

Back home for a few days, Michel Ducker starts again the exercise bike, walking and gymnastics. No question for him to hang up the gloves, since he wants to be on the air at the start of the next school year. He will take over the reins of “Vivement dimanche” from August 27. He therefore does not wish to leave his place to younger animators: “To those who wonder when I will give way. They will have to wait a bit, ”he quips.

“I was a shadow, a ghost”

However, the host admits having lived through very hard times. “Some nights, I was so knocked out that I thought I would never surface again. I was a shadow, a ghost. I couldn’t walk two meters. It took me two months before I could take a shower again,” says the man who lost 10 kg after the operation. Bad memories that he wants to leave far behind him.
