A week before the election, on this gray Saturday lunchtime, it seems that Michael Müller still has to fight. Until the last minute. Müller came to the Divan neighborhood initiative as a candidate for the Bundestag for the SPD. Now he should say a little greeting. Grit Höseler-Irmak, the head of Divan, announces him: as Governing Mayor of Berlin. “It wasn’t the job of the election campaign to make it known,” says a colleague from Müller’s entourage. “But to make him known as a candidate for the Bundestag.” It doesn’t seem to have worked that out yet.
