Météo-France places the Rhône on orange vigilance from Saturday noon

The Rhône will experience its second heat wave of the year this weekend. Météo-France placed the department on orange alert from noon on Saturday. Above 36°C is expected. Friday afternoon, the temperature already reached more than 33 ° C in Lyon. Hot air was also present throughout the region with peaks of over 37°C in southern Ardèche.

On Saturday, the high temperatures will extend to Ain, the Loire and the Savoies, in yellow vigilance, with scorching thresholds which will be reached on the Rhône, according to the vigilance bulletin issued by Météo-France. The shift of the winds to the southwest will continue to drain the region of the Spanish warm air masses.

The minimum temperatures will notably rise sharply next night, with no less than 18 to 23°C at the coolest. In the afternoon, the heat will be present throughout the Rhône Valley with 35 to 37°C.
