Who is CZ?
Changpeng Zhao (Chang-Peng-Zhao), better known as CZ, is the founder and CEO of the popular crypto exchange Binance. Crypto World class with 90 million main users!
CZ was born in China. In Jiangsu Province, north of Shanghai, CZ’s father was a university professor. As a child, his father was driven to rural suburbs for being seen as a bourgeoisie. which at that time coincided with the end of Mao Zedong’s rule.
CZ later moved to Canada at the age of 12 and was later granted Canadian citizenship. Education, he graduated in computer science from the university. McGill University
Prior to Bitcoin, CZ was an intern with the Tokyo Stock Exchange and developed stock trading software for Bloomberg before studying Bitcoin and founding Binance.
Selling an apartment to invest in Bitcoin
CZ got to know Bitcoin as he played poker with his friends and studied Bitcoin since around 2013, after which he made the switch to the Blockchain industry.
Previously, CZ was head of technology for Blockchain.com He was such a believer in Bitcoin that he sold an apartment worth $1 million or about $37 million to buy Bitcoin, which at the time was around $600 per coin, or about 20,000 baht.
In 2017, CZ created the Binance platform in Hong Kong. Binance is a combination of binary, meaning “in tandem”, and finance, meaning “financial system.”
After its founding, Binance faced many legal obstacles. and face problems with critical security vulnerabilities. But in the end, it managed to overcome its difficulties and become the most successful exchange ever.
When Binance succeeds The founder also has to earn a lot, with a report from Bloomberg estimating CZ’s assets at $96 billion, making him just as rich as Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg (now Meta).
An avid Bitcoin investor, CZ himself wrote on his Twitter profile the Bitcoin Coin “Holder” and the coin of his own exchange “BNB.”
