Medicine: How sleep can prevent Alzheimer’s disease – health

from

Werner Bartens

In life, it almost always depends on the right dose, which is what makes it so difficult. But the calls to find the right amount often go unnoticed – whether it’s about belly fat, workload or the length of sleep. Recommendations to get enough night’s sleep are particularly often ignored. After all, humans are the only living beings who willingly deprive themselves of sleep and who also celebrate this fact as evidence of discipline and willingness to perform. And those who would like to sleep longer often complain that they cannot sleep or that they wake up too early. Depending on the survey, between 50 and 80 percent of adults in Germany complain of sleep disorders; the older they are, the more likely it is.
