Media report: Wife of Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel files for divorce

Lucky in the game, bad luck in the…

According to English media reports, the German Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel (48) and his wife Sissi are separating after 13 years of marriage.

Sissi is said to have filed for divorce last week, as the “Daily Mail‘ reported, citing family friends. “Sissi and Thomas tried to avoid a split but in the end there was no other way,” a source told the British newspaper.

“It’s very sad, but now it’s all about the kids,” the insider explains. The Tuchels have been married since 2009 and have two daughters, Emma and Kim. Sissi Tuchel only moved to England with her husband in August after he started his job at Stamford Bridge in January 2021. The two live in Cobham in Surrey, close to the London Premier League club. Sissi Tuchel gave up her job as a journalist at the “Süddeutsche Zeitung” years ago to raise the two children.

Chelsea sanctioned for being close to Putin

At Chelsea it was recently haywire. Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich (55) announced that he would sell his club after 20 years after Chelsea were sanctioned for Abramovich’s proximity to Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin (69). So Chelsea wanted to sign goalkeeper talent Gabriel Slonina (17) in the summer. But this does not occur! Transfers are currently not possible because of the sanctions for the London club.

After all: The deadline for the Chelsea sale is fixed. The football club will submit a selected bid from a bidder to the government in London for approval in the week beginning April 18, according to British daily The Times.

The Raine Group, the US commercial bank handling the sale of the Blues, reported this to the shortlisted consortia.
